Like Nutrient 950, UltraNutrient provides a high profile of free radical scavenging antioxidants important for cardiovascular, immune, and cellular health. In addition, UltraNutrient contains reduced glutathione, alpha lipoic acid and an enhanced level of mixed cartotenoids for high capacity antioxidant support. UltraNutrient provides folate (as Metafolin®, L-5-MTHF), vitamin B6 and vitamin B12 to support cardiovascular health and homocysteine metabolism. Metafolin® is the naturally occurring universally metabolized form of folate. It is chemically identical to the active folate metabolite, 5-methyltetrahydrofolate (L-5-MTHF), the predominant, naturally occurring form of folate in food. Through bypassing several enzymatic activation steps, it is directly usable by the body and provides all of the benefits of folic acid regardless of functional or genetic variations. UltraNutrient also provides hawthorn extract, CoQ10 and ginger extract for enhanced cardiovascular support. Curcuma longa (turmeric) supports liver cell function, while Silybum marianum (milk thistle) promotes glutathione production and superoxide dismutase activity to protect the liver from free-radical damage. Milk thistle also stimulates protein synthesis for new liver tissue and optimal hepatic functioning.

Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you have imparied liver function, kidney disease, copper deficiency, if you are uncertain whether or not you are taking adequate vitamin B12 or folate or copper, are taking prescription medications, potassium-sparing diuretics, ACE inhibitors, timethoprim/sulfamethazole, tetracyclines, on diabetic medications such as insulin or vanadium, have a blood sugar disorder or sensitivity, have gallstones, blood coagulation disorders, if abdominal discomfort, heartburn and or/irritant effect in the mouth and throat persists, if diarrhea persists, have stomach ulcers, have liver disease, if you are undergoing laboratory tests, or if you have a history of non-melanoma skin cancer. Consult a health care practitioner if you have diabetes. Do not use if you are allergic to plants of the Asteraceae/Compositae/Daisy family. Contact a health care practitioner prior to use if you are taking cardiac glycosides such as digitalis/digoxin, or blood pressure medications. Contact a health care practitioner prior to use if you are taking blood perssure medication. Hypersensitivity, such as an allergy, has been known to occur, in which case, discontinue use. Not to be used by individuals with liver failure, individuals on hormone replacement therapy, those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, individuals with a history of coronary heart failure or by those currently taking any medications that affect the heart, are taking warfarin or blood thinning medications, have billiary tract obstruction, or individuals with a copper storage or metabolism disorder, such as Wilson's disease. Not to be taken concurrently with Adonis vernalis, Convalaria majalis (Lily of the Valley) or Scillae bulbus (Squill).
If pregnant or lactating, consult your physician before taking this product. Alpha lipoic acid may cause skin rash and potentially hypoglycemia in diabetics. Individuals who are sensitive may experience heartburn. People with a history of gallstones should consult a doctor before using ginger. UltraNutrient contains Vitamin E, which may react with blood thinning and other heart medications. Consult your physician for more information.
