Senna has been traditionally used in Ayurvedic and Traditional Chinese medicine. Senna promotes the “peristaltic action” or the muscular contraction of the intestines to increase motility, thus the reason it is called a “stimulant laxative.” Senna Tea is a natural alternative to laxative pills for the treatment of occasional constipation, while helping to increase fluid intake that can play an important role in reducing constipation.

NOW® Senna Tea uses organic and Non-GMO certified leaves in a “staple-less” bag to provide a completely pure product free from toxins. This tea is caffeine free, with the active ingredients called anthraquinones, which promote a cathartic action to stimulate bowel motility. Recommended Use

Steep one tea bag in 6-8 ounces of water that has just started to boil, for 3-4 minutes. Stir occasionally while steeping. Do not consume more than two cups per day. Do not give to children.
