Synergistic benefits for athletes are provided by added vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine), as it is required for amino acid metabolism and is also involved in carbohydrate and lipid metabolism. In the body, pyridoxine is converted to coenzymes pyridoxal phosphate and pyridoxamine phosphate, in a wide variety of metabolic reactions. These reactions include transamination of amino acids, conversion of tryptophan to niacin, synthesis of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) in the central nervous system, metabolism of serotonin, norepinephrine and dopamine, metabolism of polyunsaturated fatty acids and phospholipids, and the synthesis of the heme component of hemoglobin.
Directions
Adult Dosage: Men take 3 capsules (women take 2 capsules) daily, on an empty stomach, 30 – 60 minutes before bedtime. Avoid consuming this product with dairy or calcium containing foods or supplements.
