The World Health Organization recommends consuming between 1.1 and 1.6 g of omega-3 daily, for both men and women. Several clinical studies have proved the benefits to the cardiovascular system of omega-3. These benefits include a net decrease in mortality rates associated with cardiovascular diseases (arrhythmia, thromboses), decrease in blood triglyceride levels, atherosclerosis and hypertension.
