Licorice is used herbal medicine to help relieve inflammatory conditions of the gastrointestinal tract, such as gastritis.

Medicinal Ingredients: - Black Cohosh extract (Actaea racemosa) (18:1 360 mg) 20 mg - Dong quai root powder (Angelica sinensis) 200 mg - Licorice root powder (Glycyrrhiza glabra) 100 mg - Panax ginseng root (Panax ginseng) Root (4:1) 100 mg (quantity crude equivalent 400 mg)
Non-Medicinal Ingredient: Hypromellose
Suggested Use
Adults, take 2 capsules 2 times daily.
Cautions
Consult a healthcare practitioner prior to use in the following circumstances; you are taking antidepressant medications; you are taking blood thinners or digoxin, you have a liver disorder (or develop symptoms of liver trouble), you have diabetes; you have abdominal distension; you have diarrhea; you have a haemorrhagic disease or if symptoms persist or worsen. Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight, ultraviolet light (UV) or UV therapy. Consult a healthcare practitioner prior to use if you have or are pre-disposed to cancer. Consult a healthcare practitioner prior to use if you are taking blood thinners. Discontinue use and consult a healthcare practitioner if you experience breast pain, discomfort and/or tenderness. Consult a healthcare practitioner prior to use if you are taking birth control pills or hormone replacement therapy (HRT), or if you are breastfeeding. Discontinue use and consult a healthcare practitioner if menstruation is delayed or absent, or if you experience increased menstrual bleeding time.
Contraindications: Do not use in the following circumstances if you are taking thiazide diuretics, cardiac glycosides, corticosteroids, stimulant laxatives, or other medications which may aggravate electrolyte imbalance; if you have hypokalemia, high blood pressure, or a kidney or cardiovascular disorder. For adult use only. Do not use if you are pregnant. Do not use if you are allergic to members of the Apicaeae/Umbelliferae family (anise, caraway, carrot, celery, dill, parsley).
Known adverse reactions: Some people may experience insomnia, anxiety, or headaches, in which case discontinue use.
