Maca is a root indigenous to the Andes of Peru, also commonly known as “The Peruvian Ginseng”. Maca has long been used by indigenous people as part of a daily diet to promote optimal well being. Maca is a source of Calcium, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Iron, other essential vitamins and minerals as well as a host of antioxidants. There are three varieties of Maca: Yellow, Black and Red-Purple Roots. Unlike Yellow Maca, Black & Red-Purple Maca Roots are the most elite of the varieties in that potent phytochemicals are found in the black and red-purple antioxidant rich pigments. Maca is considered to be one of the Amazon’s most important adaptogenic superfoods due to its extraordinary nutritional profile and unique array of phytochemicals.

Proprietary Cold Gelatinization Process :  Organic Traditions Black & Red-Purple Maca X-12 is a 12:1 raw juice concentrate powder made from 95% Black and 5% Red-Purple freshly juiced Maca roots. Unlike other dried high heat Maca powders, Maca X-12 is obtained through a proprietary cold drying process whereby 12 pounds of Black and Red-Purple Juice is concentrated into one pound of powder. Suggested Use

Add 1-3 teapsoons of Organic Traditions Maca X-12 Powder to water, coconut water, your favorite juice, smoothies, raw desserts, truffles, power bars, snacks, cereals, yogurt and more. Start with ½ teaspoon and build to 2-3 teaspoons a day. Do not consume Maca X-12 in the evening for it may provide too much energy. Add 1-3 teaspoons of Organic Traditions Maca X-12 powder to your favorite smoothie recipe to create a nourishing, antioxidant-rich smoothie. As there are no binders or excipients added, contents may settle so stir while drinking if mixing it with water or juice.
