Fenugreek is one of the oldest medicinal plants and is indigenous from India and northern Africa. The leaves and seeds, which mature in long pods, are used to prepare extracts or powders for medicinal use. Fenugreek has been found to contain 4-hydroxyisoleucine (4-OH-Ile), fat, diosgenin, iron, phenolic acids, protein, and protodioscin. Fenugreek has long been used in Indian and Chinese medicine for numerous indications including, stimulating appetite, normalizing glucose levels, reducing blood lipids, relieving dyspepsia and was used as a digestive tonic and an expectorant.
Directions
Adult Dosage: Take 2 capsules, 3 times daily.
