MEDICINAL INGREDIENTS: Each bag contains: Senna leaves (Senna alexandrina) 500.8 mg, dandelion root (Taraxacum officinale) 312 mg, bitter fennel seeds (Foeniculum vulgare subsp. vulgare var. vulgare) 240 mg, cherry peduncles (Prunus cerasus) 176 mg, buckthorn bark (Frangula alnus) 136 mg, coriander seeds (Coriandrum sativum) 128 mg, senna leaves extract (Senna alexandrina) 75.2 mg (sennoside 15 mg), meadowsweet herb (Filipendula ulmaria) 32 mg.


Utilisation suggérée

Recommended dose: ADULTS: Infuse a sachet, once a day, into approximately one cup of boiling water for a minimum of 5 minutes. Allow at least 6 to 12 hours for laxative effect to occur. Take two to three times per week. If results are not observed, the frequency of use may be increased up to once daily. Take a few hours before or after taking other medications or health products. Take a single dose at bedtime. Duration of use: Consult a health care practitioner for use beyond 7 days.


Précautions

  • Do not use if you have liver or gall bladder diseases, and/or intestinal obstruction, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you are sensitive to salicylates, or if you have abnormal constrictions of the gastrointestinal tract, potential or existing intestinal blockage, atonic bowel, sluggish bowels, appendicitis, inflammatory colon disease such as Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis, abdominal pain of unknown origin, undiagnosed rectal bleeding, severe dehydration with depleted water or electrolytes. Discontinue use if you develop symptoms of liver trouble. Do not use on children or if you have anethole or plants of the Apiaceae/Carrot family allergy, or if you have acute abdominal symptoms undiagnosed or persistent.
  • Hypersensitivity is known to occur, in which case, discontinue use. Chronic use can cause colon pigmentation which is safe and reversible upon discontinuation of the product. Use of laxative for more than a short amount of time could aggravate constipation. Overuse, in presence of diarrhea, liquid and electrolyte loss can possibly cause addiction. Hypokalemia can cause cardiac and neuromuscular problems, especially if cardiac glycosides, diuretics or corticosteroids are used. Chronic use of this product can cause albuminuria and hematuria.
  • Consult a health care practitioner if symptoms persist or worsen, if you are taking cardiac medications such as cardiac glycosides or antiarrhythmic medications, or other medications or health products which may aggravate electrolytes imbalance, or if you have fecal impaction or symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting or fever. Reduce dose or discontinue use if you experience abdominal pain, cramps, spasms and/or diarrhea. Long term use of laxative should be avoided in case of chronic constipation. Should be used with caution in asthma patients. The concomitant use of this product with other drugs which may induce hypokalemia (thiazide diuretics, corticosteroids and licorice root) may aggravate electrolytes imbalance. To ensure treatment effect, large amount of water should be taken.Electrolytes, especially potassium, have to be monitored, especially for young children and the elderly.If you have a heart disease, high or low blood pressure, kidney disease, diabetes or oedema (swelling of the hands, face and feet) or if you take products containing diuretics, corticosteroids or licorice root, do not use this product. Discontinue use and consult a health care practitioner if you feel dizzy or confuse, if you experienced muscle pain or weakness, if you have abnormal heart rhythm and/or trouble breathing.
